The Pelletier family from Heron Bay, New Brunswick, host an annual lemonade stand fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House Maritimes. Their event promotes community involvement and generates enthusiasm and a “giving attitude” amongst the families and businesses in their small town. They also help spread the word about Ronald McDonald House Maritimes’s services to their community. Since 2021, their lemonade stand raised an incredible $8,314.50!
Willowbrae Academy believes in giving back to the community and invest in teaching young children the joy and power of giving. Each year, each academy hosts two fundraisers for their local Ronald McDonald House Chapter, including a Walk For Kids fundraiser in June and a pancake breakfast in November. In 2024, HRM’s Willowbrae Academies (Timberlea, Burnside, and Hammonds Plains raised More than $3,000 through donations from staff, families, and the community.
In May 2022, Adam Clark ran across PEI from tip to tip in honour of his godson and nephew, Austin, and in support of Ronald McDonald House Maritimes. His participation in another run for charity showed him the impact he could has as a community fundraiser, and inspired him to run in support of Ronald McDonald House Maritimes.
