The Ronald McDonald House Family Room is for families with patients under the age of 18 receiving care at The Moncton Hospital.
Today there are 16 Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms in pediatric hospitals across Canada.
In June 2011, we opened a Ronald McDonald House Family Room in partnership with The Moncton Hospital. Our Moncton Family Room offers a comfortable and supportive space for families to take a break from their daily hospital routine while enjoying some of the familiar comforts of home.
Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a shower, or a hot meal, our Family Room is a place for families to relax, refresh and recharge. At 900 sq ft, the Moncton Family Room includes a kitchen, a play area, and a comfortable lounge with TV and Internet access.
The Ronald McDonald House Family Room is staffed by dedicated, compassionate volunteers.
Thanks to the generosity of community donors, we are able to provide several meals a week to our families through our Home for Dinner program. Check our weekly calendar located in our Family Room for upcoming meals.
The Moncton Family Room offers various activities for families and guests to participate in and enjoy. Activities include card making, movie night, and arts and crafts. There is always a celebration for special events and holidays.
